I am an alumnus of both Fortune 500 and startups of all sizes, and a creative thinker about how technology & data can be a win-win for both companies and their customers.
In 2010 I founded Moveable Feast Mobile Media, with the idea that smartphone-based walking tours could redefine Travel Media. It was the perfect combination of location, media, and “big data” (whatever that really means). And we built an amazing (and if I may say so myself, pioneering) product on a shoestring budget. (Hat tip to my incredible team: Brad Heintz, Kent Solberg, Eric Wenzel, Tune Koshy.)
I’m a lifelong on-again, off-again avid cyclist. I’ve been cooking since I was about 9. I’ve traveled a bit, including to some developing nations, which has helped significantly to shape my views.
Before founding MFMM, I’d spent over 15 years in media & technology. I’m a proven innovator in the application of technology & analysis to real business scenarios. (Ask for examples!)
I have a long history of business innovation, which think of as constituted of three main branches:
- Product Innovation
- Process Innovation
- Business Model Innovation
Pedigrees: I’m a Kellogg MBA with an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics. I flew Navy jets between college and business school, and I haven’t done anything anywhere near as exciting since – with the possible exception of tending bar (NO, not “bartending”) & waiting tables in Atlanta.
